The Wedding

Pamela feeding the little ones Cheese Nips, like little fish.

Sydney getting a big bite.

Gianna, watching the band (behind the speaker) play music for the Grand March, which is what we were doing when we took this picture.

Pamela dancing with Dad in the pictures above and below.

Me, with my Godparents, Patti & Danny.

Sydney, lollipop in one hand and balloon in the other.

Me, with my Aunt Jody (A.K.A. Sister Laura Toman, who is currently serving on a mission in Kenya, Africa)

Gianna, napping at 8:30 pm. She actually stayed awake and happy until midnight that night, when we finally got her to bed.

Mark, dancing with the beautiful bride.

I just noticed after uploading this picture, that Rena (the groom's mother), who was holding Gianna for us while we danced, was also holding her during the Aggie War Hymn, which she decided to participate in, while Gianna was sleeping. Click on the above picture and look all the way to the left. Looks like Rena was having a grand time with my sleeping baby!

My Dad, holding my "former embryo."

Dave & Pamela (behind him) leaving for their honeymoon. Look at the smile on his face...

Dad, trying to talk Pamela out of leaving!

Luke, in the truck with Pamela...maybe Dad put him up to it?

The Rehearsal

Not much exciting about the rehearsal, only that Becca & I got a "taste" of how exhilarating the wedding was going to be with Ty as a Junior Groomsman, Sydney & Mary Kathryn as Flower Girls, and Luke as Ring Bearer, all while Becca & I were Matrons of Honor. That left Mark with Gianna and Jon with Gwen, while we had the other 4 with us at the altar.

Party girls!

Here is a fun post! I'm sure there are some of you who will not look kindly upon the way we are dressed, or the manner in which we were entertained, but I can honestly say this was the tamest, most conservative lingerie shower/bachelorette party that I, myself, have ever been a part of. We never made Pamela do anything that she didn't want to do, we didn't deck her out in tacky attire, with "things" attached to her or around her, we didn't force her to drink or take unnecessary shots, we never lied about our age or marital status to anyone, we proudly wore our wedding rings, and, in her case, engagement ring, we did not act promiscuous or flirtatious, nor did we accept drinks from anyone. We actually talked about our kids to some of the guys. So, we really did have some good, innocent fun! It felt good to dress up and have a night out with the girls!!

We went to Beaumont on the 4th of July to take Pamela out to eat and out on the town for the last time as a single woman! That was such a fun road trip! Becca & I, who rarely get time away from the kids to actually talk, talked non-stop to and from Beaumont. We left around 3:30 pm on Saturday, got there around 6:30 pm, and left around 6:00 am on Sunday morning. We only got about 1 1/2 hours of sleep (a nap!) and made it back in time for Mass with our families.
The above picture was taken after our mini-lingerie shower at Pamela's house, before going out to eat. The picture below was taken as Pamela was walking out her door, where we left some packages of elegant nighties for her to open. We actually played a trick on her prior to that by giving her some "moo moos" as her lingerie, all the while being totally serious. She wasn't sure whether to be grateful that we weren't too tacky, or to be disappointed that all she got were moo moos. The blow-up doll on the ground was our shared "date" for the night. He acquired the name "Wayne" (i.e. Wayne Newton) back in 2000 during my Bachelorette party. So far, he has attended my party, my cousin-Cathy's, my sister-in-law-Judy's, Becca's, and now Pamela's. He has been quite the center of attention for some time now.
You probably can't tell in all of the pictures, but Pamela was actually wearing a veil that night. It wasn't a tacky one, just a plain and simple one for us to draw attention to her, which she wasn't really sure about. But, it was worth it, because it got us in free to every bar/club, VIP entry and seating, free rounds of shots, etc. By the way, Becca & I were both still breastfeeding, so we didn't drink any alcohol whatsoever, but we knew Pamela wouldn't have fun drinking by herself, so we decided to tell her that we were, in fact, drinking. Since she has never breastfed, she had no idea how we were handling that, so she trusted us. Every drink we ordered was "virgin" so we drank right along with her. When we got home that night, morning, rather, we fessed up. She said, "Y'all were acting drunker than me!" I suppose we were pretty convincing.
Some fun times for Pamela with some really nice guys, actually.

Last picture for the night! We had a great time!!!
